We collect this information so we can:

• contact people who download course information packs
• improve our communication and services

Providing this information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide your full name and contact details, we may be unable to respond to your enquiry or provide information packs.

2. Information We Collect When You Apply for a Programme

When you apply for a programme, we collect personal and statistical information required by:

• The Ministry of Education
• New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
• Ministry of Social Development
• Tertiary Education Commission (TEC)

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses third‑party analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and the TikTok Pixel. These tools automatically place cookies or tracking scripts on your device to help us understand how visitors use our website and to improve our marketing performance.

TikTok Pixel in particular tracks user actions such as page views, clicks, and conversions, and collects data including IP address, user agent details, and timestamps, which are sent to TikTok for advertising analytics. TikTok Pixel processes this data to analyse user behaviour, optimise ad targeting, and measure marketing effectiveness, and it transmits data to TikTok Technology Limited as an independent controller.

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel similarly collect behavioural and technical information used for analytics and marketing optimisation.

Why we use these tracking tools

We use these tools to:

• Analyse website traffic and user behaviour
• Improve website performance and user experience
• Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns
• Deliver, refine, and optimise advertising on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Build audiences based on website interactions

TikTok’s Business Product tools (including TikTok Pixel) may also receive Event Data, developer data, and contact details when used for advertising integrations, and these data flows must be disclosed as part of our privacy policy obligations.

Who receives this information

Information collected by these tools may be shared with:

• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook/Instagram)
• TikTok Technology Limited (TikTok Pixel)

These companies may process the data on servers located outside New Zealand, as part of their global infrastructures.

• During organised promotional or educational photography / videography sessions

Purpose of collecting media

Media content may be used for:

• Marketing and promotional materials
• Social media posts and digital campaigns
• Printed brochures and communication materials
• Internal or external presentations
• Educational or informational resources

Before capturing or using identifiable media, we will seek your consent through our Media Consent and Release Form.

If you are under 18, parent or guardian consent is also required.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw consent for future use at any time by contacting us.

Withdrawal cannot apply to:

• Media already published
• Media already shared with third‑party platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
• Materials physically printed before withdrawal

5. How We Store and Protect Your Information

We store personal information securely on:

• Our internal secure servers
• Microsoft’s secure cloud environment

Access is limited to authorised staff members who need the information to perform their duties.

Retention periods

• Enquiry and information‑pack data: These messages are stored in our Microsoft Outlook mailbox for administrative and record‑keeping purposes. We retain them only for as long as they are needed to manage our relationship and operations, and we periodically review and delete messages that are no longer required. You may ask us to delete your messages at any time, and we will do so unless we need to retain them for legitimate business or legal reasons.
• Enrolment and education records: Retained as required by Ministry of Education and NZQA rules.
• Media content: Retained for as long as permitted under the signed consent form, unless consent is withdrawn.

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of information you believe is inaccurate
• Withdraw consent for the future use of media content
