Our Team Makes The National School of Aesthetics Who We Are
One of the most important part of the National School of Aesthetics (besides you, our ākonga / students, of course!) is our team. We have a small, tight-knit team, dedicated to your success and achievement.
Our team consists of two divisions:
- Education and Training Team (ETT), responsible for delivering education and training
- Operations, Management and Administration (OMA) team, who look after everything else

Please note: Except for senior management, all team members are listed in alphabetical order by their first names. This does not denote their seniority within the team.
CEO, Founder and Owner
Dr. Noel Turner
Operations, management and Administration
Noel Turner is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), owner and co-founder of The National School of Aesthetics.
- He’s a qualified beauty therapist.
- Our industry has recognised him as a leader through:
- the Contribution to the Industry award (2013)
- his place in the Beauty Therapy Hall of Fame (2017) and
- his honourary lifetime membership to the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Professionals (2021).
Noel Turner opened the school in 1985 with Don Kendall and helps operate NaSA to this day.
Head of Education
Catherine Wouters

Catherine Wouters is the Head of Education of The National School of Aesthetics.
- She gained Student of the Year when she graduated from NaSA in 2002.
- Catherine joined our team in 2004 and worked her way through the ranks to Head of Education.
- Anatomy and physiology is one of her specialist subjects.
- She also holds a National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 5).
Catherine heads the educational delivery team, planning schedules, assessments, and so on.
She also teaches anatomy and physiology.
Campus Manager
Denise Jones
Operations, management and Administration
Denise Jones is the Campus Manager of The National School of Aesthetics.
- She joined the NaSA team in 2026 as our campus manager.
- Denise has extensive tertiary education experience, including teaching, admissions, student support and campus management and leadership.
Denise oversees the day-to-day operations of the school, and manages the school environment and quality assurance issues.
She also really loves nail art and being creative.
Director of Operations
Scott Fack
Operations, management and Administration
Scott Fack is the Director of Operations for The National School of Aesthetics.
- He joined the team in 1996 and worked his way up through the ranks to Director of Operations.
- Scott holds degrees in English and previously had experience working in corporate America.
- He is also an experienced writer.
Scott’s position has recently changed to have a more overarching role in NaSA.
He also helps create and maintain public and internal documentation for the school.
Beauty Therapy Tutor
Amy Leech

Amy Leech is a beauty therapy tutor at The National School of Aesthetics.
- She graduated from NaSA as a fully qualified beauty therapist with Student of the Year honours in June 2021.
- Amy joined our team in late 2021.
- She also holds the New Zealand Certificate of Adult Teaching and Learning (Level 5).
Amy is one of our full time beauty therapy tutors who teaches a wide range of practical subjects.
nail Technology Tutor
Karen Vunisa

Karen Vunisa is the nail technology tutor at The National School of Aesthetics.
- She graduated from NaSA as a fully qualified nail technician as one of the top students in her intake.
- Karen joined our team in 2022.
- He is also an experienced writer.
Karen is our lead nail technology tutor whose sole focus is the New Zealand Certificate in Nail Technology programme.
Beauty Therapy Tutor
Louise Seed

Louise Seed is a beauty therapy tutor at The National School of Aesthetics.
- She graduated from NaSA as a fully qualified beauty therapist with Certificate in Excellence honours in December 2013.
- Louise joined our team in 2017.
- She also holds the New Zealand Certificate of Adult Teaching and Learning (Level 5).
Louise is a senior full time beauty therapy tutor who teaches a wide range of practical subjects.
Beauty Therapy Tutor
Lucy Hunter

Lucy Hunter is a beauty therapy tutor at The National School of Aesthetics.
- She graduated from NaSA as not only a fully qualified beauty therapist but also a fully qualified nail technician in December 2014.
- Lucy joined our team in 2021.
- She also holds the New Zealand Certificate of Adult Teaching and Learning (Level 5).
Lucy is a part time beauty therapy tutor who teaches a wide range of practical subjects. She can also teach and assess nail technology.
Beauty Therapy Tutor
Lynda Le Roux

Lynda Le Roux is a beauty therapy tutor at The National School of Aesthetics.
- She graduated from NaSA as a fully qualified beauty therapist with Certificate in Excellence honours in December 2014.
- Lynda joined our team in 2016.
- She also holds a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) (Level 7) and a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Primary (Level 7).
Lucy is a part time beauty therapy tutor who teaches a wide range of practical subjects. She also teaches cosmetic science and business studies.
Admissions and Recruitment
Paula Conant
Operations, management and Administration
Paula Conant is the Admissions and Recruitment Officer at The National School of Aesthetics.
- Paula joined our team as the Student Liaison Officer in 2017.
- In mid-2026, her role has evolved to focus more on admissions and student recruitment.
Paula is a part time operations team member specialising in admissions, enrolments and student recruitment. She has vast knowledge of different funding systems available to students like StudyLink and WINZ payments.
